sherborne studio theatre

Formerly Coombe Church ('The Tin Tabernacle'), this became our home in 2011. It was converted into a theatre in 2017, and the Sherborne Studio Theatre is now a cosy, intimate little venue that can accommodate audiences of up to 52.

about us

Founded in 1934, Amateur Players of Sherborne (APS) are one of the oldest groups in the area. We have presented over 185 shows and have received a number of awards. Since 2018 our main performance venue has been the Sherborne Studio Theatre.

You are very welcome to become a member of APS, whether you want to act, work back stage or just enjoy our company. If you would like to get involved in staging a play or just enjoy an entertaining night out, we will be delighted to hear from you.
